Oak Bay Community Green Map
In 2012, Oak Bay launched our first community print map as part of the worldwide GreenMap system (GreenMap.org) to help people explore and cherish heritage landmarks, Indigenous history/placenames, walk/bike routes, natural features, and ecosystems.
Oak Bay has evolved since the original map was released - new initiatives and stories need a place to be shared. Our world has changed as well. Digital mapping and mobile technology allows for real-time engagement, inclusive participation, and wide accessibility.

Our Values:

Connect and engage Oak Bay through:
Co-management of the project through diverse community partnerships
Design of the map to have diverse and impactful community engagement
